The supplied cable has a proprietary screw locking mechanism, but it can be replaced temporarily with a standard USB-A to USB-B ("printer") cable when it become damaged.

Computer Requirements:  
We recommend at least a 1 GHz dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM and Windows 7 or newer(Windows 7 through 10, but not RT) with an available USB 2.0 (or higher) port.  
Slower computers or Windows 2000, XP, and Vista may work but are not officially supported.   
Windows 8. 8.1 or 10 on a machine robust enough to support the respective operating system are also fine.
Windows running inside a Virtual Machine (for example on a Mac) is not supported.
 
Extending this Interface:
The cable supplied with this interface is about 6 feet long -- just right for most laptops.    
The USB standards do not allow for passive extension cords!    
We have tested many Active USB extensions and have found one that works. You can order the 16-ft Active USB Extension from our Store. We do not sell or support any other brands or models of USB extensions, if you have problems when using one, the first thing we're going to tell you is to eliminate the extension. We sell also a 3-ft OBD extension in our web store that lets you keep your diagnostic tool connected and away from the driver's feet and legs.

Question1:
Is it possible to pay by, for example, Dotpay or some other payment method? I don't have PayPal. Does hex v2 original also work with version 20.4.2 is also in Polish or only 19.6.1.
Answer:We also accept payment via Bank Transfer and Western Union except Paypal. And the Hex-v2 in our website support update online, it works with 20.4.2 well. Just if you need to use multi-language software, you will need to use the loader to run it.
 
Question2:
Did you really test this Hex V2 with official 20.4.2 VCDS ? Lot of people reported locked hardware asking for Firmware update ?
How to update Firmware ?
Answer: Hello friend, thanks for your question, our VCDS Hex-v2 can use with the 20.4.2 version in official website without problem. For other people said locked hardware, i am not sure if they use the same one with ours.
For firmware update, we have a loader to help with it. Usually the loader is for multi-language use, it also supports update firmware. Just use the latest version of loader.

Question 3:
Can I use it for 2012 VW CC 2.0 TSI?
Answer: Thanks for your question. Normally the VCDS Hex-V2 can support the Vehicle you need to work. Just Hex-V2 is better to cars since 2017 till latest.For cars in 2012, it's better to have VCDS (DF473) in our website.

Is this UNLIMITED cars and VIN numbers? or does it only support one car?
Answer: Hello friend, for the VCDS Hex-V2 cable, it's not for only one car. Our factory made it without limited vin, we still haven't received bad feedback that it cannot support any car model yet. Hope this helps!
